We check the date with our baker and confirm the price, including delivery to your area.

The delivery charge is paid in advance to hold the date. The rest is paid on delivery.

We bake it fresh

Nothing is made in advance and nothing sits on a shelf. Your cake is baked for your day.

Good cake is not something we rush.

Our story

Kahini means story

Behind every cake there is a person, and behind every person there is a story. Ours happens in a home kitchen in Jhigatola, Dhaka.

Baking is not just flour, sugar and eggs to us. Every cake takes time, patience and a wish that it might make someone's moment a little more theirs.

"Cake does not only mean a big occasion.
To us it means the moment nobody was told about,
which was actually the biggest achievement."

So we made a second, quieter menu of reasons to celebrate. The exam that was survived. The habit that was kept when nobody was watching. The Qur'an finished for the first time. The promotion that took three years of quietly showing up.

We believe a cake should be earned, and earning should be rewarded. Not because it was flawless, but because the work was real.

Questions we are asked

How much notice do you need?

At least 48 hours before your delivery date. For custom designs, a little more is always better. Everything is baked fresh for your day, so we cannot do same day orders.

Where do you deliver?

Anywhere inside Dhaka city. The delivery charge depends on your area and we confirm it when you place the order.

How do I pay?

bKash, Nagad or cash. The delivery charge is paid in advance to hold your date, and the balance is paid on delivery.

Are the ingredients halal?

Yes. All the ingredients we use are halal.

What sizes do you make?

One pound is our smallest and three pounds is our largest.

Can you make a custom design?

Yes. Send us a photo of what you have in mind. Our baker looks at the decoration involved and we quote you from there, so the price always matches the work.

Can you write something on the cake?

Of course. Please give us the exact wording you want, because we copy it letter for letter rather than guessing.

How should I keep the cake?

It is best enjoyed within 24 hours. If you are not serving it straight away, keep it refrigerated, and take it out a little before serving.
